The state road SS11 was the only direct way from Milan to Venice, as the motorway had not yet been built. Traffic was nonstop 24 hours a day every day of the week. Truck drivers would stop over at the “Tasca’s”, and just like back then, today it is still sometimes referred to as Trattoria La Lepre. During the years the trattoria turns into a small rest place with the first rooms and a shared bathroom facility on the floor. The Italian market also evolves and to meet the requirements needed, banquet halls are built and enlarged. Italy’s economic boom means more wealth, and more wealth means money spent on important events like weddings, Holy Communions and Christenings. At the beginning of the 70s the structure already looks like the present day one – rooms with all modern comforts available, further enlargements to the banquet halls, a park with swimming pool and tennis court. Hotel Restaurant La Lepre has 60 rooms, banquet halls that can host up to 450 people, a large parking lot, an enclosed garage, a park, a swimming pool, a tennis court and a soccer court. The restaurant can host up to 90 people. The most recent restoration dates to 1986, when the very elegant, unique yet unpretentious Sala Treviglio and Sala delle Rose were inaugurated.

In 1946 the Tasca family opens a small Trattoria in Treviglio, and subsequently in 1956 they bought a small building, where today you can still find Hotel Ristorante La Lepre.
